Cure Time
While some scents are naturally stronger than others, all scented soy candles and wax melts perform their best when the wax and fragrance oils have had adequate time to bind. Your items will always arrive to you ready to enjoy but could benefit from up to three weeks of cure time from the date they were poured. Some things are poured to order and others are kept in inventory, so check the "Poured On" date to see exactly how long your candle or wax melts have already had to cure.

Frosting
Frosting (or blooming) is a unique characteristic of products that use 100% soy wax with no unnatural additives. It may appear over time, or while your wax cools down and re-solidifies after use. Frosting may also occur during shipping due to drastic temperature shifts, and will be more noticeable in colored wax. This is not a flaw and in no way affects how your wax smells, burns, or melts.

Candle Burning
It's very important to keep your wick trimmed to no more than 1/4" at all times. Wick trimming scissors are ideal but not everyone has them. This doesn't exclude you from keeping your wick properly trimmed. After your candle has cooled and re-solidified, simply pinch the tip of the charred wick and pull it off where it naturally wants to break. Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time without extinguishing to trim the wick. It's also important that you be sure to let your candle burn long enough to completely and evenly melt the top of the wax each time you light it. Insufficient burn time can shorten the life of your candle and affect the strength of the fragrance.
